Speakers with lights?

I recently purchased new speakers for my '04 coupe without bose. The new speakers have LED lights in them. I would like to know if there is already a wire to power the lights or will that need to be added? Sorry if someone has already asked…I searched for a while but got confused with all of the technical terms. Thanks in advance for any help.

Igor to power LEDs you would need to run 12v to them.

To correctly wire them, you should tap the illumination wire at the window switch harness.

You can use a volt meter to locate this wire, shouldn't take longer than a few mins.

They are tiny little lights.... Not big cheezy glowing things. Don't worry, I'm more of a classy gal. I would not turn my beautiful car into a Christmas tree on wheels. Thanks for the info, it was a BIG help. You guys are great!

Sometimes it amazes me that what we (i.e. "classy" guys) consider rice, women consider pretty.

Maybe the ricers are on to something...

I guess that depends on if you own and mod your car to get chicks, or you own and mod your car for you (ie: it's your hobby, passion, job, whatever)

I'm the later (hobby), and if my tastes and choices happen to impress a chick along the way, woot

ok, i am going to have them installed tomorrow, but i probably won't have pics for about a month. Car is going to be in the shop. Some punk kids got it with an egg and scratched it down to the primer. Ok, I do have somewhat of a plan..my speakers will glow a little blue and when my car goes in the shop i am going to bring the trim around the radio and stuff home and airbrush it the same color as the carwith a little bit of blue in there somewhere. I have the blue and chrome oil cap and i am going to get blue grounding wires. I think it will look SEXY!

O boy...you are starting to worry me. First it's LED speakers, next it's painting the dash.

Don't worry about all the people trying to pss on your parade. If you like the look - go for it. Your opinion is the only one that matters.
