Hi, I have the bose system and planning to replace all the speakers with JL AUDIO speakers. How many speakers do I need? I know there is 2 in the back, 2 in the door panel + 2 small one by the mirror. Are there any more that I havent discovered yet? Thanks. And which JL amp will support these 70 watt speakers and subwoofer.

 

Uh... I assume you have a coupe?

Coupes have 4 speakers in the rear, two "woofers" in the front and two "tweeters" in the front as well.

You'll be hard-pressed to find an amp that will run the 6 speakers and an sub.

 

coupe has two 6x9 in the rear, 2 x right next to the rear seats near the seatbelt and 2 x in the front. then you have your tweaters. I just replaced all my speakers friday. I have fosgate components in the front and pioneer 5 way in the rear and pioneer 2 way in the middle. not much space to put anything big in the middle.

 

I'm gonna replace my front separates and the rear sides. I have a 5 channel jlaudio that suits my needs fine. as far as the sub, i have a 4080 box with a jlaudio 10w6v2. i guess the 6x9's will just lay dormant.
