Need detailed info on adding to Coupe bose system
Need detailed info on adding to Coupe bose system
I wanted some detailed info and pics if anyone has any, on adding to the factory Bose system.....Basically I hate the "no highs" sound of it and that "almost deep" bass it has.
However I love controlling it from the steering wheel. I am looking to keep the Bose HU, change all the inside speakers and add an Amp to drive a 10" Sub enclosure.
Does anyone have specific info on (Coupe model):
1. Where the factory Bose amp is located?
1a. how many channels is it?
2. Size of the front/back seat/rear deck speakers?
2a. What is in the rear deck Bose subs or 6x9's acting as subs?
3. How to remove the speakers in the rear seat arm rests against the body?...(looks like one piece)
4. Can I use the feeds to the rear deck speakers to drive a potential Aftermarket AMP to a 10" sub enclosure?
Please post pics of you got them.....and please be specific and accurate (best guesses not needed) with the info.....help is appreciated

Re: Need detailed info on adding to Coupe bose system
All of this info has been posted before. A search would lead to all of these answers (and more):
1. Amp (in coupe) is in the trunk under the left plastic cover around the spare tire.
1a. 4 ch in and 6 ch out (2 subs, 2 front, 2 rear armrests)
2. front/rear arm= 6.5 /rear deck = 6x9
3. take out back seat then pull off the armrests.
4. Yes. If aftermarkert amp has speaker level inputs. But you'll be stuck amplifying the BOSE equalized signal (BOSe uses a form of EQ built into their amp) SQ may suffer.
