Infinity

A few questions for some of you seasoned veterans in the car audio industry. I have the opportunity to get a great deal on Infinity products. I can get the Kappa Perfect Components, Subs, and Reference Amps very cheap. My question is if you were to build a complete Infinity system, or almost complete system for a G35 Coupe, what components would you choose from Infinity?

I appreciate any advice given.

if you can get them supre cheap and are on a budget, then go for it, but i do not call any infinity product a sound quality product to be honest.

if i were to rank their stuff, i would say i would probably use their amps first, subs second, and speakres, if i really really have to, last

obviously if you are going to go infiniti, then use their best stuff as you listed

It all depends on what you want out of it. Are you looking for a high SPL pounder? Infinity's not your thing. A huge improvement over stock for a great price, much closer. I'm running a set of kappa components with an Inifnity amp and a JL sub. I've never been a fan of Infinity subs, there are better ones out there for the same price and much better ones for a little more. The amps are pretty good for the price, but mine seems to overheat really easy. I've never had this problem with other brands of amps, but I don't see a lot of people complaining about it on the web, not sure what to think. It's not bad stuff, a pretty good value. But not the ultimate in car audio.

Thanks for the replies guys. I certainly didn't think Infinity was near the upper tier of car audio. I was not sure if they had improved over the past several years, back when I used to pay attention to the brands. I am actually going for more of a "shock and awe" setup. I am looking to mix nice video (DD like the Z1 + Visor Monitors) and also have some healthy SPL coming out of the trunk. I don't want to give away all my sound quality for the SPL though.

my main prpblem with any infiniti speakres is always the peakiness of the midrange and highs, they produce decent midbass but aftre that, its all down hill...
