How to Adjust Balance on JL 300/4 Amp ???

How do I adjust the balance on a JL Audio 300/4 amp? I know I am supposed to play with the input sensitivity but how do I know how much and which way to put it?

Also I get a bit of hissing at higher volumes. Should I increase the volume at the HU and lower the gain at the amp?

Thanks.

Jason

Use a voltmeter with the speakers disconnected. The User's Manual tells you exactly how to do it. Note... once you set the sensitivity at the proper voltage, do not increase it. It will only sound worse turning it up more and you will have defeated the purpose of setting at the proper voltage.
