I noticed that you have the video ipod with a navi car.... I have my video ipod running music videos on my navi screen. Its much easier to use than installing a dvd player, xbox and other crap. Just a thought.

where did you get the proclip?
you said "The USA Spec uses the satellite radio port in the back of the HU."
is that for like sirius/xm satellite?
i can still be able to use my stock radio, right?

Yes, all functions of the stock HU (radio and CD changer) are unaffected by the USA Spec. The only catch is that you can't have both satellite radio (i.e. XM or sirius) and the USA Spec.

You mind telling me exactly how you did this? I am interested in running the video through my nav screen I just haven't had time to figure out how to do it.

Jamey.

Maybe - you have to check and see iff you have an auzillary input - likely not though, in your case. If you do, the unit will come up as a CD changer in the system.

Yes, my 05 coupe doesn't have the SAT button and I have the PA11-NIS installed. It operates off the "cd" button.

I wish they had something like this for any MP3 player. I hate Apple with a passion.

awesome...i just ordered one for my gf's car. i hope the install won't be as bad. is it possible to place the ipod connector to the compartment above the radio (for non-navi folks)? that proclip is another $30 plus the actual holters for the ipod which is another $30 or so.

btw...is there a way to control the device so that u won't charge the ipod when you hook it up? the reason y i ask it's cuz i hate charging my ipod everytime i hook it up since the battery won't last as long. my dension ipod kit in my e46 i can disable the charging feature.

Here is mine. Thanks Jamey for clarifying.

I changed the settings on my dipswitch to factory, but with direct mode on. So that means 1=off 2=on. My cd changer now plays from track 6 with this setting. Not track 5 like you see in the graphic.

In the graphic at the time I had 1=on , 2= on. Not anymore.

One question. Everything works great. But I did however notice about a 5-decibel level drop in the sound.

That means I have to turn it up a little higher than usual now during IPOD play mode to get to the level of sound I want.

I can live with this; does anyone know how I can make this comparable again to the system sound in decibel?
