I have the P6800DVD, its pretty nice. the picture quality is awesome. The 6 disc changer is a MAJOR plus. One complaint i have though is if i select the "random" option, the songs do not skip randomly if you press forward, ala bose HU.

The audio quality is ok. The strange thing is that when you go into dvd mode and play a non-burnt dvd, the sound is a little on the softer side relative to a normal CD and tuner. There is an option where you can adjust the dvd loudeness which helps. Overall for $900, it was a great buy IMO.

I'd get the pioneer. Preferably the Z1, but the 6800 wouldn't be a bad choice either. ^_^

Thanks for the input guys, but lets get some data as to why you think a certain unit is better. Also i'm not interested in the navi. just the sound quality and features. Thanks again...

well i like pioneer because of the sound. it works well with the factory speakers...but i dp also have the premium bose amp and speaker, so that might have a lil to do with it. But everyone has different opinions.

Since you're in west covina, you should go to the chino hill meets. I'll let you listen to my z1 so you can determine if you like the sound or not. I should be going to the next one. who knows...you might even decide to get the z1.
