This is nothing outlandish but it is exactly what I wanted. I've heard many systems and I couldn't be happier. I lost about 1.5" in the depth of the trunk but I don't use it much any way. The Cleansweep definately made a big difference with the base HU. It has a switch to let you hear with and without processing. I highly recommend it, at least for base HU's.

Base HU, Cleansweep, JL650CSi front, JL650CXi rear fill, JL 10W6V2 sub. Fronts are pushed by a JL 300/4 and the sub with a 500/1 with a remote base control.

Also, the Cleensweep has one set of Aux inputs. Works great for sat. radio or mp3. Far superior to FM hookup!

The cleansweep has pros and cons. Mostly cons.

Con's ----No sub level control so you have to have two *****.

When used correctly you loose steering wheel controls.

Only 4 pre amp outputs.

I would recommend the lc6i or lc8 by audiocontrol.

bb, while I do have two ***** (volume and remote base), I didn't lose any of the steering wheel controls. It is a pain to always check to make sure that the HU volume is set to the calibrated level. Other than that, I have no complaints.

On the flip side, I can leave the Cleansweep volume control at a pre-set level and use the steering volume control. I rarely do that because it is slow changing from 3/4 volume to low if I get a call or something.

Sure there are other choices out there and some may be better than JL. But, I'm a happy camper and the only one I have to please is me.
