Hi,

I'm looking to put an SQ setup in my coupe. My budget for the sub element is $200, and I wanted to ask for ideas. The sub will be a single 10 and will go in a 0.6 - 0.8 ft3 sealed box. I'm aiming for accurate transient response and a fairly flat FR curve. High sensitivity and deep low extension are a plus but not must; earbusting power not important.

For reference, I liked my old Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1 (not VQ) a lot, but if there's something better out there for my budget/purpose, I'll try it. The sub will probably mate with Diamond HEX's in the front. Any ideas or references are appreciated!

Perhaps something from Adire Audio? I've had some Shiva 12"s before and for the money they could not be beat. Not boomy, tight, a straight up SQ woofer. I'm pretty sure they make a Brahma in 10"

Depending on you amp setup, I would suggest an Elemental Designs 11kv.2/11ov.2. Thats the perfect airspace range for these subs and they can definetly pound and are a very good price. I'm sure 16psibrick will chime in soon enough since he's an ED dealer and has better experience with them, but my 11kv.2 is plenty for me.
