Need power connection
Hey folks...
I am about to install some LED mood lights under the dash and in the door handles. I am using the Varad ILK103 (amber to match the console display) These LEDs have built-in resistors, so all I need is a switched 12v power supply.
So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to where to attach for power. preferrably I would only want the LEDs to turn on when the headlights are on, but I could live with them being on whenever the engine is on, since they have a 10K hour life.
Any suggestions?
Also, I have read somewhere that someone used Raybrig 29x8mm Festoon bulbs to replace the under-door lights. I am looking for amber festoon LEDs in amber if anyone has a source. Can we use 31x10mm? As that is all I can find. I cannot find any 29mm anywhere, other than those Raybrigs in hyper white.
Cheers, Ted

Re: Need power connection
Thanks Russ.... that's exactly what I am going to do... I am assuming that the power for the light around the bezel of the cig-lighter is controlled by the headlights, so that would make perfect sense!!
Now I just need to source some 29x8mm festoon LEDs, or find out if we can use 31x10mm LEDs. Anybody?
thanks again russ... -ted
