worth it to get an alarm?

i was thinking about slappin on a new alarm so it could alert and page me if someone were to hit the G. considering the factory alarm options (windows, trunk, etc), should i replace the stock alarm? or is there an alternative where i can keep the stock alarm and add a siren and paging option to it?

i had remote start a few cars ago... left it in gear cuz my car was parked in an incline in a parking space... accidentally sat on my remote... started the car (in gear)... and it shot forward, jumped the curb, and smashed into the ac unit of my apartment. if that unit wasnt there, it wouldve crashed into my apartment bedroom wall! lol crazy. **** remote start.

They have remote starts now that prevent remote starting your car while in gear.

Yea that camera is pretty fugly...you'd have to try to flush mount it somewhere. But just thought that was a cool gimmicky idea to send you pics if you were within 1500 ft. That way you can see the bastard that's messing with your car and whether or not you have a good chance of kicking his *** or not. Otherwise, call the cops.

i got the viper 2way alarm w/ remote starter. i forgot what the model was. definetly worth the upgrade, also the stock alarm is still there if u want to use it.
the only problem i have so far is the remote starter turn on by itself, i think the battery was low so once i replaced it the problem never occured.
stock alarm suck, doesnt tell you or even beep when anything hits it. or even if you kick it. to my own safety i went out and bought an aftermarket alarm. so far so good.
