Need electrical help please

Hello all. I am new to this forum. I am a member of several other forums so I know the rules...search before asking. I have searched every thread related to my subject and haven't found anything.

I am going to install a remote start in my girlfriends G but the instructions aren't clear with a couple of things. First off, it is a 2004 Coupe G35. Does it have the smart key? The first item on the list says to connect a wire to the air conditioner with and to connect the key hole on the wire. I am entirely confused by that whole step. Any ideas? The second two aren't as bad. The next one says to connect a wire to the alternator(when successfully started, positive power will be output), is this to tell the remote start system that the car is running? Finally, there is a wire that needs to go to the hand brake. The vehicle is an automatic, is this really necassary? Thanks in advance. I am glad I am now part of a G35 forum.

Drew

well the directions they give you are pretty much universal its not for the g35 only this is what i would do

the wire that goes to the alternator is a ignition wire
the wire that goes to the air condition is acctually a acc wire so it can turn on the heat and ac when remote started
and the wire that goes to the brake its not really the hand break its the foot break so if you start the car when you step on the break it will take the remote start off and use the key or if someone goes in the car without the key it will cut off. now on our g35s we have a chip in our key which needs to be bypassed when i install alarms i use something called a 556u from directed i have if you need with this you will need to put a valet key or spare key in it otherwise the car wont start.
here are some wiring info you can find these wires under the dash in the ignition harness
12volts white/blue (40A)
Starter white/red or red/white
Second Starter white/green
Ignition black/red
Accessory white/black
Keysense black/pink + ignition harness or BCM, pin 37

the 556u is a transponder bypass meaning you put one of your keys in it its a black box with a relay what it does is when you remote start the car it will send the signal from the key to the key cylinder to start the car. our keys have chips in the key and wont start unless the chip is recognized when trying to start the car if you need i have i can sell it to you i bought a few extras becuase i install alot of alarms on the side im located in orlando fl.

Ok, I gotcha. I had to use one of those when I installed the remote start in a Montero sport. I assume that is why the instructions tell you to wrap one of the wires into the key hole. I guess this is just a prettier way of doing it. How much would you charge for this shipped to 23464?

Is this an alarm too or just a remote start?
