LED Mood lights installed
thanks to everyone to gave me great suggestions over the last few weeks.
I finally got the LEDs installed as follows:
2 - driver footwells
2 - passenger footwells
1 - under passenger seat firing back
1 - under driver seat firing back
I used some 000 synthetic steel wool to scuff up the LEDs because the varads are focused almost to a pinpoint. Scuffing the tips (and a little on the sides) diffuses the light nicely.
I discovered that there was no power to the light around my driver side cigarette lighter!!! So I soldered wires directly into the power for the lighter. Ran those under the dash and connected into a 6-position barrier block.

then used barrier jumpers so that I have 3 hot and 3 ground positions.

I mounted the barrier under the dash to the right of the gas pedal (there's this chunk of plastic there that was perfect mounting place). If I need a quick bit of power, I can jack into this block now...

OK - I am going to take some pixes today...but even in completed dark, with the low level on my Digi-cam I can't pick up the LEDs. I will take pixes of the install and enhance the "on" pixes.
G35Lin - ya, I can help you do this, now that I have figured out WTF to do. man was it a btch figuring it out! But the Varads made the job a lot easier once you figure out the power issue!

The PIX!! LED Mood lights
Here ya go:
Driver's Side

Passenger's side

Rear Driver Side

Rear Passenger

Both rears together

Power block - under dash driver side

Power running in console for under the seats

Under passenger seat

I still need to clean up the wiring, but I did this without removing my center console or any part of the dash. the only part that was "moved" to install this was to pop out the driver side cig lighter!
Cheers, ted
p.s. if you get a chance, register and vote for me over at Online Showoff THANKS!!

Are they wired to the headlight switch so they stay at night while driving, or just when you get in/out?

It seems like he went through the cigarette lighter ring, so yeah, they should only turn when the headlights on on. You don't need to worry about wiring into the headlight switch. They should also work with the dimmer switch... that's how I did mine.

Re: The PIX!! LED Mood lights
went thru the back of the cig lighter, not the "lighted bezel"
LEDs are on when the engine/ACC is on, not just when headlights are on. With 100,000 hour life span, no biggie:
