500/1 and 300/4: Stock Bose Location?

I'm trying to fit a 500/1 and 300/4 in a stealth install. I'd rather not put them on the floor behind the front seats.

Has anyone fit them in the stock bose amp location?

Did you purchase them already? I know you can fit the JL 1000/5? in there with some trimming, its been done by a few people before, so that may be a better option

you might be able to get one in there but I doubt that you'd be able to get both. You might also rethink the location because the slash series run very hot. I would definitely try to get as much air flow around them as possible.

The goal is a 4080 box and a golf bag in my trunk.

Ditch the spare or attach some mdf to the rear seat and mount them there.

x2. Here's how I mounted a 450/4 to the rear seat. I think it's important to get the heat sink pointed upwards to get the max cooling.

Why do you care how it looks if its a stealth install. The 500/5 has been shown to fit under there just like you want, sell your 500/1 and pick one of those up if your goal is to mount it in that area. You won't be able to fit a 500/1 next to a 300/4 in that area because its just too tight.

It actually makes a lot of sense. You want a front soundstage with 100x2. You want minimal rear fill with the 25x2 and 250 is ample for the majority of the subs out there.

In my pics above, the 450/4 was powering a set of quarts in the front at 75x2 and the infinity sub with the 2 front channels bridged at 300 watts.

I have the 500/5 mounted on top of the Bose rack under my 4080 box. It powers a 10w6 very well.

No sweat. When the seatback was put back up, you couldn't see any of the wiring except for those going to the crossovers. Click the second pick. I hadn't stuffed the wire going to the sub but all I had to do was tuck it in and voila.

Going without the rear fill is definitely the way to go for the best sound reproduction. The only issue with this is if you have people in the back seat often. They are kinda left out.

Besides, I had the 450/4 with a 500/1 and the stock electrical system couldn't take it when I cranked it up.
