Re: Need some help about a member..

Iv been givin my system some thought and need some advice.

1. How deep is the rear seat speaker enclosure?
2. The fronts are 6.5 - rear are 6.5 and rear deck are 6by9 right?
3. Im pretty good with wires and installing systems but never realy knew ohms. Im considering JL audio and I know they got some wierd ohms like 3 or something.. How would I amp that?
4. Better for 1 more powerful sub or 2 lil less powerful in this type of trunk? Im going for real tight bass loud but not defining.. As I had that in my last car..
5. How to face the amps for best sound? firing at trunk or firing at rear deck? DONT want rattling
6. Last but not least is everyone replacing all the speakers on interior? If you where to replace all eight how would you amp that?

I want to do this perfect and as you people know that these things get expensive and I dont want to get into trial and error.

Thanx for the help guys.. Treat me like a n00b as im ashamed I dont know this stuff with as many installs as I have done...

Re: Need some help about a member..

1. very shallo without modfications. like 2" or so. but you could cut int the panel thar are mounted to and have like a foot deep.
2. yes
3. read the tutorials on JLaudio.com they tell you how to wire everything up
4. in a car with a trunk this small, 1 sub will do just fine. I just use 1 10" with 1100 watts on it
5. face amps or subs? face them anyway which you can get them to fit or looks the best. facing towards the rear generally is the loudest. You'll need lots of dynamat to prevent rattles.
6. i only use a frotn stage. I unplugged the 6x9s and use the rear 6.5s on the stock bose only for dolby digital when i watch a dvd.
You need multiple amps is you wanna do all the speakers. i use 1 5 channel amp. high, midbass, and 1 sub
