how is your ipod holding up?

For those of you who use the hard disk ipod (ipod model with 20, 30, 40GB etc.) in the G35, how is it holding up? what is the reliability of an ipod with the micro hard drive considering the hours of daily driving with the vibration, bumps, driving over pot holes etc.

I have been using my ipod in my old car for a long time. Had some problems with the hard drive spinning up fast enough sometimes. Sometimes when I select a song it will start to load it then stop and boot me back to the main menu. Oh and the battery doesnt hold a charge anymore but that doesnt have to do with vibrations.

The hard drive doesnt spin very long in the iPod, it just spins long enough to cache the song and then it turns off the hard drive.
