playing burnt cds in Bose system a no-no!

Complete and utter nonsense. Burned CD's are not the reason for the BOSE failures. It actually has to do with a faulty connection with the CD player. That is why it will cut out with CD's but play fine with the radio. I had the exact same problem with my 03 Maxima BOSE. There is a fix, but it involves taking apart the HU and resoldering one connection. Ended up going with an aftermarket HU and will do the same in the G.

yes thats what they told me about my cd player it wasnt how the data is written on the cd its the thickness of the disc, i think its absolute bull ****. Im sure about 99.9% of G's on the streets have had atleast 1 burnt CD in them at one time or another. Someone needs to get a micrometer and measure the a CD-R and a regular CD

And for another poster... read your owner's manual; it actually says not to play cdr/rw in the system. I guess if the dealer really wanted to press the issue, then they could point that little part out. Thing is, I doubt the dumbasses at the dealerships even know that statement is in the manual.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

as for the argument about not allowing burnt cd's in a player that reads MP3 discs... im sure nissan used the same logic (or lack thereof) for that as they did here.... http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/20/n...rom-2010-gt-r/

So you got to go to dealer to get it sharpened.
