HELP! so i just read all 36 pages of this, and i can't seem to find a solution to my problem:
i have a canadian 06 6mt coupe navi. it is pre-wired (has the solitary plug hanging in the trunk), it does not have a sat module, nor does it have a sat subscription. there is NO "SAT" button on the HU. the "RADIO" button scrolls through fm1, fm2, and am. the "PTY CAT" button scrolls though jazz, country, rock, etc. now...
i ordered this kit a while ago and decided to install it yesterday. the parts i received were: 999u7-vs000 ("harness type b") and 999u7-st002 ("07 ipod kit"). prior to running the cables under the carpet, i decided to hook everything up to make sure things were working properly. i connected the adapter harness to the plug in the trunk, with its other end into the ipod interface. then i hooked up the DIN cable from the ipod interface to my ipod. i lastly bolted down the grounding ring. now when i turn the key to accessory mode, nothing happens. the ipod doesn't display "ok to disconnect", or anything for that matter. it's as though both the ipod and the ipod interface do not recognize eachother. scrolling though the "RADIO" or "PTY CAT" do nothing as well. did i receive the wrong kit, or could i possibly have a defective module or cables? any similar issues (maybe canadian-specific models???) any help is appreciated!!!
p.s. i have checked the instructions and re-attempted the install countless times already.

I think I have the same question as chalupa. My 05 coupe has the bose sytem, but as far as I can tell no option for satellite. So if I buy the nissan kit, it apparantly adds satellite as an option when I go through my radios modes?
I have the nissan integration that has worked great for my old Ipod. I just got a new Ipod touch and now it does not charge. Do I need a new cable and if so where can I get it?
Thanks,
Thanks,
Yes - I just did this in my 06 sedan. Install was very easy and once plugged into a pre-wired setup, it just found my sat as I hit the Radio button.
Apple removed the ability to charge via the firewire pins on the newest apple devices which sucks since every single OEM and aftermarket car stereo uses the firewire pins. In order for it to charge you need to buy this adapter:

Hey guys quick question ive been reading through the post and im still somewhat confused on this. i work at a body shop and there is an 08 g35 sedan here, i have the cable that connects from the stock unit into the ipod,i own a 05 coupe that i just figured out is sat ready, is the cable all that i need? and if so where does it get installed into? please help!!!
Got my factory oem kit a few weeks ago and tried to install it. (I have 07 sedan w/ XM). So I went to install in the trunk, and found the correct port. I have XM radio and subscribe and everything is peachy with it. I plugged in the ipod harness and also the extra "SATELLITE" cable. Everything seemed to work at first, however whenever I unplug my Ipod it just says "No Ipod" and will not allow me to switch to my XM radio. Is there something I'm missing here? If I unplug the harness completely my XM radio works as normal. Its as if the Ipod Harness overrides the XM, but will never let XM have control again. I thought it might be the Satellite cable so i returned it and they shipped me a new one. I still have the same problem. Anyone have a situation like this or know how to switch it out of the Ipod mode back to XM?
It doesn't work. If I hit the FM/AM/Sat button it will just switch between the different groups of presets. It's really not working with anything else (must be the actual Ipod Harness control device?) Anyone have more ideas before I try swapping it out?
Well looks like I will be returning the Ipod adapter to everythingG35. My experience hasn't been very pleasant with dealing with them. I'll explain from the beginning.
I called them on 5/7/09 and asked them particularly about my sedan. (2007 Premium + Tech + Navigation). I had XM radio installed in my vehicle and I didn't want to lose functionality of my XM with the Ipod adapter. I read ALL their notes on their website very carefully before calling them.
Can I still use my satellite radio after I have this installed?
– Yes, but you will have to have the iPod unplugged from the iPod harness. The integration kit is design to over ride your satellite radio.
Will this work with all model G35's?
– No, this model does not work with early 2003 G35 Sedans (production date before 09/02) as they are not satellite capable and 2007+ G35 Sedans that are equipped with Navigation AND XM's Navtraffic.
I said I don't have Navtraffic, but I do have XM and the person I spoke with at everythingG35.com said that Navtraffic wouldn't work but I could continue to use XM radio as long as the Ipod wasn't plugged in. (I said that's great and I understand the Navtraffic couldn't work in that circumstance). I ordered the OEM factory Ipod adapter from them about an hour after I spoke with them on the phone. I received my package about a week later. I setup the adapter in my trunk from the DIY guides on these forums. After playing around for a while the adapter worked great! I was really happy, until I unplugged my Ipod from the adapter. "No Ipod" was displayed on my screen and I couldn't get it out of that mode (unless I went to FM/AM or CD player etc..).
So I called eg35 back up and spoke with a different gentleman who proceeded to ARGUE with me that I didn't set it up right and didn't try to offer any help at all. I talked him through my problem and finally he said it CAN'T be the Ipod Adapter it might be the harness. I then sent off my harness and waited 2 weeks for my new one. After plugging up the new one it did the same exact thing as before.
I called them again and spoke to the same individual (I recognized his voice and tone). I explained my problem again and I said that it must be the Ipod Adapter itself. He ARGUED again and said that I wasn't installing it right or "I don't know what to tell you" statement. I said that I spoke with someone before I bought this about it working (I told him email, however I do remember emailing them and never getting a response, so I ended up calling them). They said explicitly that it would work as long as I don't use Navtraffic, but XM WOULD work but it had to be unplugged from the harness. He said "send me the email we sent you before I give you an RMA number" I said OK, and I went to get the email and send it to him.
Oh well, I don't have an email because they never got back to me the two times I sent emails. All I have is what the verbally told me over the phone, which obviously didn't take place since I don't have it in writing. I will be returning this adapter (because they described something it does, that it doesn't). The ordering process was fine from everythingG35, however the gentleman I spoke to would definitely NOT make me a repeat customer for any products they sell. He said "I'm sure it says on the website it doesn't support that model and what you’re trying to do."
Just as a side note, and my ability to set everything up correctly (I work full time as a software developer and work with programmable logic controllers and integrated machinery. I'm not claiming I know everything there is to know about how this unit operates, but I do have some level of competency especially with hardware/software. I really didn't like the fact that the gentleman treated me like I didn't know anything at all and I didn't do my homework before buying). Oh well I guess it’s back to the RCA cables in my armrest.

Hey guys I am really interested in the ipod integration kit. I just have two quick questions, if you guys could answer it from experience I'd greatly appreciate it. I wish to run an Iphone 3G so here are my questions:
1) Can I listen to pandora through the car speakers?
2) Can I still use my in car bluetooth to receive and make calls while it is tethered to the harness?
Thanks everyone
