Does the unit screw down to something inside the dash or just flop around loose? I just received my Nissan-specific unit and see the 4 mounting holes on the part itself.

It's your choice on mounting. Heavy duty double-sided tape works very well. I recommend any of the 3M products.

 

Ok cool, I'll try to pick some of that up at my local Lowe's or Home Depot.

Did you just stick it to the back of your factory deck or is there some sufficiently large, flat surface inside the dash I can use? I don't want to short anything obviously!

There is a lot of room under the ashtray/hazard light area. I don't think you'll be able to mount it behind the head unit, there's no room back there and like 4 different wire bundles.

 

Just zip tie it to something stationary.
