I know the one from digitalww. It is made by a factory in Mainland China called Lilliput. We can get that unit really cheap directly from the manufacturer.

But then not only is the Hitachi TFT LCD Panel they use refurbished, but the inverter and other electronic parts are recycled too. What is funny is digitalww even tries to hype up this unit by posting comparison pictures of this unit with our last year model. Anyways, our monitor also uses high quality video chipset from Philips which does high quality scaling and anti-aliasing.

Is it possible to get this unit as a kit for custom installs? I'm not sure the monitor casing and all would fit into the cubby for those without NAV. I'd like mine to pop in and out of the cubby like some others here have done.

Does anybody else have this unit? Any comments? Going to do some searches for reviews, I'll post what I find

 

I am actually removing mine from its frame/case, but then again they are sponsoring me and will assist with warranty issues.

You would have to decide for yourself if you want to remove the casing....not unlike modding a PS2 or laptop and expecting them to warranty it.

There is a seal over one of the screws to maintain warranty compliancy.

Too bad this isn't the 700TSV with ultrabright option, otherwise I'd consider this...Oh well...Good to see we have some creative and forward-thinking G owners here...

OK - they're gonna get back to me on a price for the 700TSV .

As far as the question regarding return policy, it is 30-days plus a 15% restocking fee if the unit is in resalable condition.

They are gonna put a special code in their online webstore for us to use... I'll PM those who have already (or will in the future) let me know that they are interested. They are giving this price to the forum, so there will be no minimum number of buyers.... as soon as I get the code, you can order.

I'll try and take some 15sec mpgs tomorrow on the bench (it's not installed just yet) of how it works and post it up.

Re: the TSV. It looks like that'd be a wise choice because the touchscreen dims the unit some. Here's what they have posted on the site for apparently the 700TS:
