PAC SWI-X install ???

everyone with the SWI-X, can you please post a pic of where you have the led installed. I'm trying to figure out where will be the best place for it that is hidden, yet still able to reach the deck.

SWI-X LED install

DHC,

I put the LED right where the arrow points but on the other side.
Careful drilling thru the aluminum!

Works great!
What head unit are you using?

Pete

thatnks Pete. I'll be instaling a Clarion MAX675VD. So your led points straight up and it works ok?

Make sure that your installer drills holes farther back on your bracket or your clarion will not sit flush. I need to have mine remounted. I'll do it when I get my tax refund check.

DHC,

I had a Eclipse 5495 and the LED location worked fine.
To be sure your Clarion can "see" the LED, you can program SWI-X, then hold the LED in a variety of locations, and test the steering wheel buttons.

My location should be fine if the IR pickup is close to the bottom edge of the unit.

sounds good, I'll try moving it around and see where it works and is still somewhat hidden.

How far back should I drill the holes on the bracket?
