Need help--v1 conceal piece in ash tray

Hey guys,

as a few of you know ive been going through some ideas on where to put my concealed v1 piece. Originally wanting to put it into the ash tray I didnt think it was possible after doing some work on it so I went to the infiniti clock and now I want it in that damn ash tray again lol

ive been taking a closer look and I think it could be possible

heres some pics:

sorry for the bad pics, i took it with my camera phone..

--has anyone with the g35 coupe done this with their concealed piece?

--most importantly, do you guys think it can be done?

thanks for the help,
Russ

many have done this. Personally I think it's stupid to put it there because you have to look down away from the road to see where it's coming from.

My vote is for mounting it inside the gauge cluster.

It's doable with the full V1 concealed unit casing, given you have an '05+ center console. You just need to crimp your own RJ-11 jack since the one it comes with is too bulky and gets in the way.
