adding a sub please read

ive search and ask a few people here but still no answer. and im sure some people are with me on this. i got an 07 sedan and i want to add my old amp/sub onto the car.
i already added n it works with the sow. my question is the signal im getting from the loc is not clean. i know most people will tell me run it before the stock amp but im still using the stock amp so that doesnt really matter. my sub is not playing as hard as i want so what can i do to fix? i know a jl cleansweeper would probaly fix it but i dont want to spend 3-400 bucks on one. thx can someone tell me how i can fix this plz

it doesn't matter if you are running the stock amp or not, tap into the lines before the amp and not after. Not sure on the 07, but if its like all the other bose systems, the amp does alot of equalization and likely cuts out alot of the lower frequencies your sub needs

really? but even if i run it before the amp wouldnt i still be running it through the amp ? the wires i tap are before it even reach to the amp and signal is very weak.
im sure the 07 sedan is the same as any bose.

I don't know anything about the 07 sedan, but if the audio signal is low and your amp doesn't match up to it, you're going to have problems like this.

What amp are you using? Are you using speaker level input or did you splice an RCA cable into it? How is it connected? Where is the gain set?

You need to provide more info on how your amp is connected and how it's set up.

its one of those old chrome ppi amp but still pushes very hard. i had this on my coupe but without the stock amp so it was fine.
i went into an audio store to purchase an rca converter for about 20 bucks, it looks like a small box with 2 level gains. i set it to max.
i spice the wires from the 2 rear speaker before the amp for the rca converter, all my gains on the amp is up and i try messing around with it but still no help.

If you have an old RCA cable, cut it and splice it into the signal to bypass the RCA converter. I don't know if it will do anything, but it's worth a try.

Your equipment is certainly up to the task.
