tvnav2go dead
I bought the tvnav2go and a fuse tap.
I grounded the wire coming out from the back of the tvnav2go harness and powered the tvnav2go unit with 12v from the fuse tap
worked for 2 weeks but not anymore. Today the weather shifted from really cold to really warm. but the tvnav2go just wasnt working even though it was receiving power and its LED light was on.
I plugged the OEM harness in and found out that the navigation by itself works fine
I checked all the connections and used a spare slot in the fuse box to supply power and re grounded the grounding wire on the harness - but it still is not working.
any ideas? could the grounding wire have gone bad?

my nav to dvd switch in my TL was flipped for 1 whole day before i found out. i thought the unit went dead too, but fixed it just by flipping the switch back to navi mode.
your problem is probably worse, but just throwing in suggestions.

the tvnav2go unit was replaced under warranty.
but the new unit has poor video quality. ive grounded the unit to the same locations as before...the quality gets better when you ground it but not as clear as the first unit i had. tons of those static lines

Did you ground the heavy black wire on the plug and play harness??? Is the video source also grounded to the car??? Did you try another video source??? Please call me at 718-763-7367 and we can go through some other options. You have a 1 year no questions asked on the unit so don't worry. We will get you fixed 1 way or the other.
