Re: GROUP BUY: Navigation Parts

Yes it is possible but not worth it. This setup that you are talking about is going to run you over $3000, not including labor. Unless you do it yourself. These OEM parts a re overpriced, if I'm not mistaking, the OEM screen itself costs $1300. But yes, it is possble.

Re: GROUP BUY: Navigation Parts

So basically the parts to install the OEM screen runs
700 approximately with the group buy and then the OEM screen runs around 1300? and then I need the OEM navigation system as well correct?

And then installation on top of that?

Re: GROUP BUY: Navigation Parts

Here's the actual price list I got from Southwest Infiniti in Houston. This is kind of a rip off but you get the idea.

Display Assembly ----------------------------------- $641.71
Lid Assembly ------------------------------------------ $164.14
Navigation FInisher ---------------------------------- $29.34
Power Supply ------------------------------------------ $385.26
Display Unit -------------------------------------------- $1605.51
Switch Assembly ------------------------------------ $39.11
Filter - EMI ---------------------------------------------- $29.34
Screw Kit ------------------------------------------------ $34.76
Total ------------------------------------------------------- $3178.94 + labor

If I'm not mistaking then the Display Unit includes the DVD drive to run the software. I could be wrong though. So you might want to check up on that. These are prices from another dealer that I went to that really wasn't hooking me up with a great deal. You have the discounted prices for some of the parts at the beginning of this thread. If you want I can find out about the Display Unit and some of the other discounted prices for parts I didn't list before. Hope that helps.

Re: GROUP BUY: Navigation Parts

I'd rather pay the 3000 for that than paying like 2500 for something else.

Cuz after you get a Screen, DVD player, and Navigation probably around that price anways, I have a dvd player already...I just need the screen and tuner and I think that looks the cleanest...can you find out how much the bestp rice for the screen is man? I would appreciate it

Re: GROUP BUY: Navigation Parts

I thought that the price for the screen included the dvd navigation. I could be wrong. I'll get back to you on monday with a price and the confusion about the dvd navigation. Also, I know that this looks clean, that's why I'm putting my own touchscreen into it. The stock screen is not touchscreen. Also the stock will only play navigation. My $2500 system will play MP3's, CD's, Navigation, and DVD's. I can also put in a PCI TV Tuner and get local channels. Now that sounds like a better deal to me, but that's just me. lol. I'll get you the price on the screen though.

P.S. I'm a little crazy when it comes to buying things. I buy the best of the best that's why my system is running me $2500. Anyone can pull this off in $1500 with a reasonable setup.

Re: GROUP BUY: Navigation Parts

we drive sports coupes...not civics. If we do this it must be done cleanly.

I wouldn't mind touchscreen but I'm all about all the other displays that are available on the stock screen when the navigation is not in use.
