i've connected the ground wire to the car's chasis.
now i need to splice the wire coming from the speaker, and tap them into the new rca line, any detail instruction on how to do that? i know what wires that i need splice, i just want to know how to splce them...i really need to get this done, but i doubt my wire splicing skill...

When you say speaker wire, I hope you mean brfore it goes into the Bose amp.

To splice the wires, cut them, strip a little off the end and either twist the wires together and solder them or use butt connectors.

The speaker wire should be going from your new amp to your sub.

You should be stripping the input signal from the head unit, before it goes to the amp, and splice in the other end of the RCAs that will be going to your amp to that.

i know which wires to splice and tap, its the speaker wire coming from the boss speakers to its amp. and i know the four's colors.
its really my first time doing this electronic thing, i've done everything else, except i need to splice them, and i dont know how, whether i need to cut them in to halves, or i need to take one end off from the gauge and strip a little off, then just twist the new wire in the middle of the stripped wire.
thanks for all the replies!

No, those are the speaker wires coming out of the Bose amp. They have already been amplified and you don't want to connect them to RCA cables and feed them to your new amp.

You want to tap the wires going into the Bose amp before the signal goes into the Bose amp and gets EQed and amplified. Those wires are at line level of about 2 or so volts, which is safe to feed your amp.

The only speaker wires you should be working with are the speaker wires going from your new amp to your new sub.

You need to tap the SIGNAL wires from your head unit before they go into your Bose amp.
