FINALLY FINISHED!!! Got BASS too! lol

Finally i finished installing my 10w6v2 and 500/1!

it took me a few days, i had to ask in this forum and i also went to a few audio shops for infos regarding the installation.

anyway, it was a pretty easy installation if you follow dR6's DIY guide, thanks to you!

thanks to the guys who responded to my questions, some of my questions r stupid, that i know. i am a newbie, i've never done any electronic work before. my first electronic work was hard wiring my ipod to my car like a week ago, then i decided to install a new sub powered by an amp. I think my next step is to install speakers/4channel AMp and a new HU, lol

HOWEVER, i still have 2 questions:
1. after i splice the signal wires and remote wire today, i went to a gas station to get gas, then i couldnt start up the car the first time, the engine shut off after like .5sec, all the instrement lights were on. the second time i turn on the ignition, its good to go. looked like the battery problem, im not sure. i just want to know if anyone has experience the same problem or you know what this problem is.

2. how do you guys secure the 4080 box? or u just fit it in the back of the trunk and u dont have to secure it? and i fit my 10w6v2 in that box, but it would slip out if i play the bass loud, how do you secure the sub inside that box?

i took a pic with my cell phone in my garage, so the quality isnt good

thanks again to those who helped!~

... you have to screw the sub into the box with some wood screws so it doesnt fall out... like you do with any other sub/box...

My friend and I did the same setup in his coupe a while back, we added some E-dead to the whole trunk/lid as well and it sounds really good.

to secure the 4080 box.. there's a metal bracket on top of the box... u remove the lining off the trunk and stick the bracket in there for a tight secure fitment

it keeps the sound in as opposed to letting it out. It eliminates the notorious license plate rattle that you hear out of most peoples cars.

our G's have a rubber piece that's attached to the stock bumper on the back of the license plate to prevent rattle...
