Problems with an electrical short

I'm not sure where to post this, so I posted here because I believe I have a major electrical short somewhere on my G35.
I have a 2003.5 G35 sedan and it drives amazing and fine. However, I travel lots and when I leave my car at the airport for more than a few days, it won't start.
At first I thought my rear light in my trunk was not turning off, so I removed it, but I've scoured my car and I can't find out why the car won't start. Its not the starter motor obviously, and I always turn off all the lights and deal with all the small things that draw current from the battery. I'm very confused as to what is drawing this power, any help would be greatly appreciated!

u might have a drained or dead battery... A similar situation like your happend to me for a while due to not driving the car for quite a few days at a time. I have a shop grade battery charger & hooked it up for 40 mins to get a full charge... never had a problem since.

How old is the battery??
Looking at our specs here a new battery will have Reserve Capacity of 125min. This is based on an Interstate MTP-24F battery.

What this means is, the battery can take a 25 amp draw for 125 min. before needing recharged. That's over two hours on a new battery.

I always look for a maximum of 40mA current draw on new cars. A lot of computers and keep alive memory on them you know.

Point is, at 40mA it would take days to kill a battery.

Look at all the lights. If you have a pass through in the rear or if the seat folds make sure the trunk light is off. Same with the glove box. Are you unplugging the cell phone adapter?? Radar detector??? Do you have something else in the car like amps and such.

If all can be answered no then I'd get a new quality battery....

If you have the OEM battery, it may need to be replaced, especially if it has been deeply discharged a time or two, which will really kill a normal battery. Have the battery load tested at the local auto parts shop. An Optima yellow top deep cycle may cure it.
