Pioneer Z1 Problems?

After browsing for awhile trying to decide on a nav. system I decided on the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 but when i went down to the car audio shop the guy down there said there had been problems with the Z1. Anyone had problems with their pioneers, the Z1 in particular?

The guy actually told me that 75% of the original Z1 that went out (I'm not sure if he means nationwide of just the ones he sold) were returned. That figure sounds drasticly high. Kinda wondering if he just really wants to sell me another unit. He was pushing the Panisonic Strada

I had the z1 and I had not one problem with it. I would recommend the unit to anyone. Navi is awsome and features are great.

Z2 is going to be good as well.

Mine literally freezes when its cold, but once it warms up it ok. Lately the weather in socal has been fine and I haven't had any problems with it. Check out avic411.com if you have questions about the Z1 and other pioneer models. They are the gurus of pioneer over there.

Nope no issues ever and have sold a few. Stay away from Z2 for now since there is no way to bypass the no-video-while-driving feature.
