Sirius Radio Issue, please help....

To make a long story short, I bought an 04 G35c that had a sirius tuner and antenna installed by the prvious owner, but the last owner removed the antenna from the roof and left the wires ran to the tuner which stayed in the car. Once I found out that I had a tuner, I bought a new antenna and antenna splitter and installed them. Once I go to turn the SAT on, all the radio dislays is "Radio ID xxxxxxxxx" over and over again, it will not let me tune to any stations or anything. Any idea what this could be?

try unplugging the tuner for a couple minutes and then plug it back in. I had to reset mine once like that.

i think you have to give that ID to the operator when you call them to reactivate the radio. or you can go online and do it.

even without a subscription you should hear something. it will only let you tune in one or two channels and it will tell you how to start your service.

Use the radio ID to create a subscription and activate the service. My refurbished OEM Sirius unit would also show the radio ID but wouldn't play sound until I activated it.

Thanks for the input guys, I am currently not paying for Sirius yet, I was following the instructons from the antenna install which says that you tune it to ch 184 and go from there. So I need to subscribe first and use that radio id when I establish the account? The reason I didnt think about that is since I want to make sure everything works first before I pay for it, if something is wrong I dont want to be stuck with a subscription. I will try that and see what happens.
