Removing the 6x9 for more bass (coupe)
For those of you that have removed the 6x9 to try and allow more bass to come into cabin, have you actually noticed an increase in bass? I'm reworking my system this weekend and was contemplating ditching the 6x9s for more bass. I already have two Infinity 12.1D powered by a Alpine Pdx 1.1000 back there, but I do have the Kappa 693.7 currently in the rear deck (I know for true imaging it is best to remove the rear speakers period, but that isn't my concern)

you can reach those subs from your trunk, disconnect the white gauge plugs, tape it with electric tape to prevent rattling and you are done!
dont let those cheap bass to muddle your good bass

I removed mine but I didn't do an AB comparison. It can't hurt.

How do you remove the 6x9's? I have the whole rear of my car gutted right now except for the rear deck and the plastic that the driver and passenger seat belt go into (the plastic peice that covers that rear quarter window). Do you just pull those 2 plastic peices out that are around the rear side 2 windows?
