I put a whole in the center and wired to the right. You will need to guide the wire towards the right and catch it with your hand to push it through some foam padding to get it through the center. I can explain in more detail later if you want.

Yea, that'd be great. When you say "center", do you mean center of the bottom portion of the cubby, or center of the rear portion?

Some pics peeking into the cubby showing the wire location and entry/exit would be helpful.

Now that you've done this, tell me what you think about the necessity of pulling the center stack to sneak a wire in there? Is there a SAFE location to drill a hole in the cubby without risk of hitting something on the backside? Possible to fish a wire out left or right without pulling the stack?

Thanks again.

I can take pictures a bit later, but all you have to do is remove the shift assembly and the entire passenger side dash. This requires removing the glove box so that you could sneak a wire through from the top all the way down along the right side. It isnt too hard to do, but a bit unnverving for a beginner.

Re: 6 Inch Screen Install In Cubby

The switch was a basic switch I bought at strauss auto. I took a cigarrete lighter power extension cable and cut it. One side into the cigarette. The middle goes into the switch and the end goes to the trunk. In the trunk there is an inverter and basically and the other wiring. This way I managed to wire everything without cutting one wire on the car.
