Does anyone know when the blackbird 2 is coming out?

 

We should be recieving them soon. Retail is $799.

 

yeah price went up since it doesnt require a dock like the b100...if you subtract the cost of the dock its about the same cost

 

also, the Blackbird 2 has bluetooth built in so you save another $200, the price of the KCE-300BT

 

i dont think the bt will work through the dock connection

Ok. Just found out more info today. Retail is $750 and MAP is $699. We should be recieving our shipment next week.

Alpine is also putting a package together that includes an IVA-W205 and the PMD-B200 for $1499.

 

So this means that W205 does not send NAVI signal directly to the screen .... you gotta have blackbird add-on?

 

^^^ Yes. The W205 alone is an AM/FM tuner with built in DVD player. THe Blackbird is the Navi portion.

 

Will the bluetooth work when inside the W205

 

I've read the BT will work wit the BB docked in the 205.

 

I saw a website showing the release date as tomorrow, 7/25. Nothing new on crutchfield.com, other than the release date is uncertain and alpine is so slow about getting press releases out.

Any updates from those that are in the biz? I'm ready to buy a 205 and B200. I have a 200 and 872 in my Saab and love it, but I think this is the way to go for my g coupe.

 

So, I'm guessing you didn't get them in as planned? Any updates?

 

Dude alpine took forever to release the dock, its going to be a while
