Who's DVD Deck In Cubby?

I did a search, but couldn't find anything. There was a member who had a DVD/Audio deck (the ones that look like a normal deck, but extract a DVD screen to play DVD and CDs) in their cubby. He did not have the Navi package, but had this mod hidden in that spot. When the DVD screen was retracted, the cubby cover would conseal the DVD deck. I thought that this was an amazing idea and wanted to look at his pictures again. If you are out there, please post of Private Message me. If anyone else remembers the post, owner, or kept pix of it, please post as well. Thanks!!

Actually msnmp's screen and stan in the cubby is a nice idea, but it's still not the one I'm looking for. The member that I'm looking for was an early member, who registered on this forum even earlier than I. He has something that looks like this in his cubby (without a stand/holder).

Example:

Pioneer AVX-P7300DVD
In-Dash Motorized Monitor with DVD
M.S.R.P. CDN $2,799.00

Re: Who's DVD Deck In Cubby?

I plan on installing 1 like this (with navi) or the one that msnmp installed. The only thing I wonder about this install is if the cubby cover will still work. It looks like the front of the unit sticks up too far. If this is so, maybe the cubby cover could be modified/cut to fit the openings around the sides and in the front. What do you think?

Re: Who's DVD Deck In Cubby?

wow. that is a better idea. if the cubby will conceal it, than that would be a far better choice.

Re: Who's DVD Deck In Cubby?

One of the reasons why I dont want the Infin DVD navi and prefer aftermarket however, I would like something similar so that it can fit into the cubby.

Neatis,

Looks Great! Do you have any other pictures of your monitor install, closeups of it both open and closed?

Thanks
