My battery is slowly dieing... and I am slightly retarded.

Long story short. How do I get that cover off that covers the battery? Not just the cap, but the whole deal so I can take it out and put a new one in. Does it just pop off or do I have to do something? I just want to make sure before I break those plastic screw deals.

been there, done that....

Yes, use flathead screwdriver and pop up plastic rivets. Next, peel back rubber insulation strip that is below the windshield wiper. Unlatch and move line (wiper fluid tubing???) that is connected to and routed along battery cover. Lift out battery compartment cover. use 8 or 10mm (i think?) rachet to unscrew battery anchor. and viola! battery should be free to lift out of bay.

I replaced my stock battery with an AutoZone Gold top Battery. Supposedly, the AutoZone Gold got the best rating for the price in Consumer Reports.
