Can the factory keyfob be reprogrammed...

I have a keyfob from my 2004 G35 sedan and was wondering if it can be reprogrammed to operate my sister's 2005 G35 sedan?
If so, how?

TIA!

Not so. I bought a OEM keyfob from originalkeyless.com for about $50, it came with instructions to program the remote. Basically a series of turning the ignition key on and off several times and pressing the door lock button once or twice, then pressing the button on the remote.

I'll have to see if I have the directions when I get home, but again I have a 2003 and it might not work for other years. You can also purchase the programming directions from their website for $7.

just to clarify, does you sister have an I-Key? if so, you cant program a key fob from an 04 sedan to a sedan that uses the Ikey

it is not an I-key. Just a plain old key with a standard Infiniti Key fob.
Gixxer - if you happen to have those instructions handy, I would greatly appreciate them!

2. Insert and remove the key from the ignition key cylinder more than six times within 10 seconds.
(The hazard warning lamp will then flash.)

when you insert the key do you turn it at all?
