damn that's nice... i know in korea i was taking rides in taxi's and they all had portable nav's that had voice alerts to slow down when there were speed cameras or high-accident areas coming up... i hope we get these kinds of nav's here too

You can sort of get this going pretty much the same. Many carpc based navi's allow you to run in google maps hybrid mode, there are even app's to cache the mapped images to avoid any video issues. It's pretty impressive.

Looks like they still have some bugs to work out. It always showed the car driving on the wrong side of the road.
