It all depends on what works good for you. I like the Kenwood units because of the Garmin navi, which I like and am comfortable with. Many others like Eclipse, Alpine, and Pioneer, among others. Go to a stereo shop and look around at what is available and is within your budget.

Gilley, I can't get over how awesome your car looks! But to answer the original question, check out a Circuit City to see a couple on display. They usually have some pioneer and kenwood units up. I think I've seen one with an Eclipse as well.

Most people are going double din. I have a single din Kenwood KVT 910 5.1 Channel system I'm about to put up for sale soon. Complete with the KNA DV2100 Kenwood Navi Unit, Siruis tuner unit, and the super rare KDS p901 DSP unit that unlocks the 5.1 channel and a gazillion other audiophile options. The whole thing set me back 1500 but retailed for about 4500ish in 2003. Its a good setup and I've thoroughly enjoyed it for the past couple years I've owned it now I want a double din style unit.

What ticks me off is that most double dins like the Avic Z1/z2 and the D series made by pioneer like the avic d3 and even the newer kenwood ones have 2.2 volt preout connections for your speakers. (WTH were they thinking)

The kenwood I have is a 4.5 volt with s/n ratio of 103db which means although I want the double din navi look, I'm may losing out on the sound quality plus I can't seem to find a DSP unit for the newer model Kenwood/pioneer etc which means they no longer have the 5.1 channel surround sound I got used to as well. (Please correct me if I'm wrong guys)

All of a sudden I feel like I'm downgrading now. (I'm looking at the D3 vs the Z1 made by Pioneer BTW). Why can't we have the perfect double din unit?
