Help with car stereo

Hey all, I need a little help with stereo equipment. I have done searches so I know I need the DD parts but how do I set it up for maximum sound quality. I'm not looking for anything competition but I want decent sound. I have a Kenwood DDx-6019 (will add Nav option). I also have an Alpine 10" sub with Alpine amp(more than enough bass for me). They were left over from my previous car. I was thinking of Polk's db6501 components up front but not sure what to put in the back. I noticed the speakers are in the doors instead of the back. Will this be a big factor in sound? I also spotted some rear Polk speakers with adjustable tweeters. Should I get these to compensate for the position of the rear speakers? As for a four channel amp, I am looking at the POLK C400.4. I don't have the amp and speakers yet so if there's something that will suit my needs better, please let me know. I have VERY, VERY limited knowledge of car audio so if you have to dumb it down for me...I won't be offended. The music I'll be playing is mostly r&b and jazz with a little rap/hip hop. I'll probably watch an occasional movie in the car but I have no plans on it being my home theater system. Thanks in advance and if you need any more info. please ask.

your choices are good for daily listening withnothin too wild.. i do basically that exact setup in quite a few cars very often.. make sure you get this done by a PROFESSIONAL! the quality of the install will account for 90% of the end result. the g35 has rather complicated speaker wiring, so whoever installs the amp must realise the 6 point setup of the bose otherwise you will lose your backseat speakers, which dont have to be replaced since they are just mild rear fill..
expect to have your installer tune your system, it will make all the difference in the sound of your setup

For maximum sound quality, remove the Bose amp completely. You shouldn't use it if you are going with a DD setup and replacing the speakers too. Use your 10 inch sub for bass and get a 5 channel amp for simplicity to power everything.

eeeeeeexactly! blose amps cant run your aftermarket speakers well at all.. a decent 4/5channel, components, sub, and HU will make you wonder why they make you spend a million dollars on the bose when these few parts will blow it out of the water

Thanks for the input so far but I guess I should have given a little more info. about the car. I do not have the Bose setup. Do I still need to worry about an amp being in there somewhere? It will be professionally done though. I'll be sure he has done a G35 before. I can't afford any oopses.

Since you don't have the Bose, if you want, you can run the front and rear speakers (front component and rear coaxial) from the Kenwoodt in amp and power the sub with your Alpine amp. You would just use the Nissan wire harness adapters and wire the Kenwood straight to the car's OEM wiring. If you want an amp for the front and rear speakers, you can do that as well, but it will be connected with RCS cables to the Kenwood.
