Id like to know this too, a kill switch would be nice. Usually though it pisses the guy off so bad that they trash the interior anyway but hey its better than gone.

If someone stole my ride I would want it gone for good, would creep me out to think of some wacko driving it.

kill switches are kinda pointless with the key imobilizer system. If they are going to steal the whole car, they'll likely just flatbed it

I thought that was true of all newer cars? The keys are encoded and programmed to work with the car, if you don't know what the code is you have to reprogram the key and car to get it to work.

+1

Don't park on the street unless there are cars parked in the front and rear of yours. Even driveways are game for flatbeds. Garage is best.

The immobilizer is essentially a kill switch, a much smarter one than a physical switch. Think about it, the best and most logical way for a thief to steal this car is flatbed.

If the thief is able get past your immobilizer, wouldn't you think it's 10x easier for him to bypass your physical kill switch?

Get your lojack paired with an aftermarket alarm with 2way remote. The remote will tip you that your car is getting jacked. Lojack will help you find it quick if the thieves have already taken it.

Personally, i'd get a good alarm with 2 way remote and just park in smart places.

You can probably save on insurance w/ lojack, and it will help if the vehicle get's towed etc.

the guy that started this thread was asking if anyone had installed a kill switch in the G. No one has come forward...and answered that. Just said their own comments on why it doesnt need one...hence the bumpage.

there are plenty of ways to install kill switches. however, just like everyone here has said, theres no point. Unless that person were to have a copy of your keys and the keys were already encoded with the code. You can tap into your fuel line and put a switch in place. Thats what I did with my last car. The car would start initiall, but only stay running for about 3-5 seconds with the switch engaged.
