The key to car security is to simply take yours out of the equation entirely. Keeping it garaged is definitely one way to take your car out of a thief's list. Other deterrents such as aftermarket alarms with battery backup sirens, hood/trunk sensors, shock/radar sensors also add to the issues that a potential thief must defeat to steal your car. Ultimately, nothing will stop a determined thief, but the strategy here is to make it take as long as possible so an experienced thief will simply skip your car and target another with less deterrents and just scare away any amateurs.

"To clarify how it was stolen they grabbed the keys from inside and ran outside to grabbed the car. They were spotted as soon as the car started. Police were notified instantly. They tried catch them but lost sight."

"Car has been recovered. Found in pearl city. Missing really really dumb crap. The people that took stuff had no idea what they were doing. They did alot more damage to the car then they could possibly make off the parts that are missing."

If you are dumb enough to allow someone to steal the keys chances are you won't have the intelligence to remember to flip the kill switch EVERY time you shut the car off!
