My Alpine IVA-205

Ok so ive been reading the forums lately and i see many others are having the same problem as me. I took my car to get its system installed and everything worked out perfect except for the Head Unit. Its an Alpine IVA-205 and it sticks out and extra inch from the dash. Ive seen other people with the same HU with it flush. Does anyone know if there is/was a thread on DIY with this issue? When i get home from deployment i plan on ripping everything out and drilling hole to get it flush. Its just annoying when you gotta put your car in drive to insert a CD and other various stuff just so it has clearance. Any help or suggestions would be great. I dont really wanna F*% my G up o.0 that would be bad.

I installed a IVA-W200 for my friend in his 04 coupe 5AT. I wanted a flush look so I drilled some holes in the bracket to move the HU back to flush it out.

Did you do this before or after installing the head unit? I just dont know if i wanna be messing around with the dash because i dont wanna mess anything up. Is it hard to remove that center console where the dash is? Hopefully i wouldnt have to remove too much to get my bracket out.

I did the same thing...you will have to remove it all to drill the extra holes
