Boston Acoustics are good if you want to spend the money but it also depends on your taste in sound. There are so many brands.

I love the sound of Focal K2's...but they are expensive!! MTX also has the new thunder axe component set that sounds really good! MB Quart is another excellent brand.

I have MB Quart speakers with a Kenwood DNX7100 head unit. I had the speakers before I replaced the head unit and was very happy with the sound quality of the MB Quart speakers.

I have had a Boston Acoustics components, Infinity Reference and right now I have set of Diamond Audio D3 compenents in my wife's 4Runner. They are by far the best I have heard in one of my cars. However, this is the first set that I have amplified by and external amp...and my guess is that's the reason for the excellent SQ. If you are going to by a set of components, I would seriously think about amplifying them...but maybe you already know that.

Another great Focal option is their 265 V2S. Also VERY good and not too bad price wise.

+1 MB Quarts...replaced my old accord with MB components & powered by JL Audio amp. Best highs I've ever experienced. If you're looking for a high end sound system and money is no object, take a look at McIntosh systems.

I got a full component RF system which amazes me every time I get in my car. At first i was gonna go with MB quartz but i decided i wanted everything to be Rockford including my amps. Everyone I let ride in my car always seems to think i have the most clear system they have ever listened to...obviously they havent listened to an MB quartz system. For crystal clear id go with Boston Acoustics, but thats my opinion. Im very VERY happy with the way my RF system turned out. It makes my ears bleed

The Boston Acoustics speakers are great, also Polk makes some great sounding speakers (but their components can be a little weak on bass). As for amps I have always used Rockford they make a great amp!

Do you have the Bose system? If so, are you going to keep the Bose amp with your new HU?

If you are running the speakers of the hu then I wouldnt suggest components. A nice coaxial like the pioneer rev will be a huge improvement. If you really want components just buy an amp. You can find amps for pretty cheap. One thing that will make a huge difference is sound deadner. It will improve the midbass in your car significantly.
