Coaxials are one piece with tweeter mounted on the midbass speaker.

components are a mid bass and seperate tweeter.

Some component speakers allow you to mount the tweeter like a coaxial.

Are you in SoCal? I can get you a good deal on almost any brand speaker and authorized.

If you are running the speakers go with coax. If you are running of an amp go with components.

Go with components up front regardless of whether you have an amp. The OEM system, Bose and non-Bose, each have a door speaker and separate tweeter on the corner of the front window by the mirrir.

so what if they have a spot for the tweeters? It has nothing to do with how they will perform. You arent going to have enough power to run components. They arent going to sound good at all. Go with coaxials and make your life easier. They will sound better and they will be cheaper. The bose amp is crap, it isnt much better than a aftermarket HU.

Not only is there a spot for the tweeters in the sail panel but there is a tweeter in there. If the stock system can power components, why can't an aftermarket?

It true that the tweeter should be down near the woofer, but only if you get the right dispersion, which I don't think will happen tucked behind the grille, especially if you can't angle it.

definitely go with components. the stock HU has enough power to run
lower wattage units like the Polks. i know cause i run them in my car.

it is 10x better sounding than the crap Bose speakers that my car
came with.

coax's are theoretically better since it mixes the highs and mid-lows
together, but you can't get the imagery and ambiance components can
because of the shape of the interior. if your ear is down by your
knees, i suppose go ahead. lol
