Aftermarket stereo help
Aftermarket stereo help
I am going to replace the OEM HU with something aftermarket. Where could I get a 1DIN finisher from ? Grubbs sells the DD kit only. Also, I remember seeing somewhere on this forum a 1DIN kit that can be turned into a DD kit, but can't find the post. What are my options ?
PS: I have an 07 coupe with dual climate controls, no navi. Any extras that I will have to purchase if I decide to go aftermarket ?
Thanks in advance !

Beebo, cool, is that your setup, looks good. Wish you could do a pocket underneath the stereo for extra storage. But all in one, I might just get that. Who else besides Riverside Infiniti offers that kit ? Oh and before I forget, what about the dual ac button, I see it's missing.
What if I would do two units ? A flip-out screen and some digital media receiver like the Clarion or Alpine, with bluetooth and ipod integration ? Would that work ?

The Metra kit is a good kit for the price but it looks cheap IMO. Get the JDM double din kit and just get a nissan Maxima pocket. If you want to do a flip out and an audio processor of some kind it is indeed possible.
Check out my cardomain page (linked in my sig) I cut out a piece of black ABS plastic, used the dremel to get it right, and then used the extra single DIN blank space to mount some buttons and gauges.
