increase crank time on autostart alarm?

hey guys i may have posted this sometime back but not sure. anyway, i have been unable to autostart my car with my viper alarm (the model escapes me but its the best one they make). it actually turns over the motor but just before it starts, the crank stops. sometimes when the motor has been running a while, it will start but on a cold start, it needs a little more "turn of the key".

my question is: how do i turn up the cranking on the alarm? i assume its inder the dash but what might it look like? and is it a screw like adjustment? under the hood? etc etc. please let me know if you guys have a clue where and how i might be able to fix this. thanks RX

That screw like thing might be your shock sensor and I bet you have a 791xv or the new 5900 or 7900. You need to program you Alarm to to crank more by reading what to do in the in the owners manual and using the Valet switch to program it. Also I wouldn't have put them temperture sensor if you live a warm weather but would use it cold weather.

just go to whoever installed it and ask them to increase the crank time. generally they can do it in minutes
