would have to be 6.5" and 2-ohms and may need a spacer.

Good front replacements would be Infinity Kappas 60.7i. A few of us have that setup in our cars.

Spacer is definately needed. And you also want to get 2ohm speakers if you plan on not replacing the Bose Amp.

I am interested in replacing the speakers in my non-bose (I think they actaully use the same speaker, correct me if I'm wrong). Did you notice a big improvement in sound quality? Does anyone know if a 6.5 oversize speaker will fit? I've heard those do better at bass reproduction.

Your non-Bose speakers are different than the Bose speakers. Bose speakers are 2 ohm. Non-Bose speakers are 4 ohm.

With the speaker spacer that you need, you should be able to get an oversize 6.5 to fit fine. One member has a 8 in the front door of his sedan.
