just buy em off Ebay. You most you'll pay is $340 shipped and that's better than what you'll get from Avelectronics, even with a group buy.

 

I'm with you for a groupbuy for the genuine article...Cant trust whats on Ebay.

 

I contacted the sales guys at avelectronic notifying them that we can setup a group buy for the g35 and 350z community and they said they are not interested in group buys.

 

Did you respond, "Well screw you then, we're all going to buy the cheaper ones on eBay?"

 

give me a few days because the one that on ebay for $200 with the buy now at $325 is coming in the mail soon so ill let you guys know if (A) its a legit AV. electronics piece and (B) if it even works plus i got a tiny dvd player on ebay as well if it all works good ill send a link to the person that is selling them. he has the dvd for $110 on buy now + it looks small enough to fit right next to the Nav ROM " dont want to recommend nothing before i test it out "

i guess if you are the only in the market then you can say anything you want. wait till some1 else come out with it, then let see.

BigappleVIP, looking at the instructions on the 'instructions' post and comparing them to the ones posted on EBay I say you're good to go. The idea that 2 units that look exactly the same and come with the same instructions end up being different just doesn't add up to me. Also noticed his price went up a bit, might be running low on inventory. I think you got a solid buy, but please let us know how it turns out.

who own the stock DVD system and are interested in aftermarket

If it is possible to have a group buy arrangement, please let me know what
the prices are and the required amount of purchasers. If you can offer our

They don't look very interested to me, which is pretty disappointing. I basically offered to arrange the group buy by going to not one but four message boards (my350z/freshalloy/6mt/g35) to get sales for them. I'm sure their margin on these units is very high and if they were to support the community with good deals, they would gain additional sales in the future.... As is, I don't think I even want to purchase a unit from them directly anymore since their reply is so cold, e.g. "i don't care about your community"

Grubbs sure seems to be doing OK even though they offer VPP to forum members

 

I was thinking of getting one off ebay also but I want to make sure it's legit.

 

Don't jump in yet, not 100% this is legit. There is some logo in the middle of the box that he's trying to cover up (I asked him for more pics and they were covered up there too). I asked again for some without that area covered up. I will post when I get a chance.

 

Keep the info on the eBay purchase coming. I bid on those auctions and I would love to hear about the quality of the product etc.

OK guys this is the deal. i won 3 different bids on 3 different products all on the same day and paid for them all. i won a car dvd player, Nismo oil cap, and a nav tuner all on Feb 16. got the oil cap on Feb 20, dvd player Feb 22 "the dvd payer is smaller than the crest whitening strip box ".

now i contacted the sell a couple of times and these are the conversations
