G35 Premium Package

Hi guys i have a question. I have an 07 G35 and i did not get the Navigation because the dealer told me that i have to get the "Premium Packge" (The bose 8 speaker things) and these 2 packages cost like 5-6 grand more.

Can i still put the Nav (the one with the pop up screen) mounted on the dash, some other time.

I don't want the ones that best buy are selling, I really want the Nav system that should come with the car.

It's definitely possible, you just gotta be really good with electronics. I've personally done it. Refer to my thread about it:

When they are in stock, you can also install a pop up screen from http://store.mp3car.com/category_s/53.htm and connect a Garmin GVN 53. There are a number of great double DIN in dash units would be a good option.

A few things g35power 0207:

1st- A double din unit is what you see in the picture posted by beebo. I dont know the technical definition but it's basically a car stereo that is wider than the normal aftermarket headunit you are probably used to seeing.
2nd- Are you aware you can buy a double din unit that offers a really sweet navigation system. So it is basically a stereo AND navigation all in one. Everyone on here recommends the Pioneer Avic-Z2. It is a bad *** unit but pricey. Check e-bay if interested.
3rd- The fact that you dont know what double din unit is concerns me a little as far as you doing any install on your own. Hopefully you're just asking for info but plan on paying someone to do it. Because whether you decide to get a factory type navigation system or go with the dual din set up....I hear it's a fairly tough install.

Either way, good luck!

No problem! There are some audio experts that post on here that are usually very willing to help. I'm no expert...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
