CD player issue!! AGAIN!

HI All,

In 2005 i got my radio change out because i had the error code "cd err fo" and now my 03 G35 sedan which is out of warranty by 4 months, i really hate going back to the dealer and ask them to replace it and pay $$$ for it and nowing it wil go bad in a few years again... has anybody ever got the dealer to replace it for free for them after their warranty has ran out? Or does anybody have any opion on how to fix it, or does anybody have an aftermarket radio installed and how is that done because our cars has a unique front plate design that goes with the car's interior panel.. any sugguest would help, if you have an aftermarket radio installed, can you show me how yours looks like and what is the best out there to get for aftermarket? By the way i have NAVI unit with my car...

Thanks....

buy the pac-NIS ipod hook up ($90)....but an ipod ($200)....put all your music on the ipod (every album you've ever owned)... = you'll never use your CD player again. I don't think I've used my Cd player once since I got my ipod hook up. As for the dealership is concerned. they are ****ty and won't replace it. If you replace your radio it will cost your $300 to get the dash kit plus the A/C controls. Then on top of that the new headunit you want to get. yes the G sucks to upgrade in pretty much every category. I guess it's a just chill car by itself....

dood it's like the best thing ever for an ipod. not only does it get it's signal, but if you buy the cigarette charger, you can charge your ipod from it.

It's pretty much my favorite mod of all time on the G, especially if you have the stock deck. It also allows you to use the ipod interface which is 10 times better than the control interfaces that come with the aftermarket headunits like eclipse, pioneer, and such. some of my friends have afttermarket headunits that have built in ipod controls and they are terrible compared to the ipod by itself. IF you are considering doing it let me know and I'll show you how to run it. My ipod power supply rests in the center console and I lead my RCA's from the PAC-NIS2 to that. It's sooo chill
